Place des Arts suspends all event and activities

Following the government of Quebec’s request to cancel or postpone all indoor events attended by 250 or more people, Place des Arts has announced that it is suspending all shows and other activities until further notice.

The decision takes effect immediately, according to the performing arts centre, and will affect all upcoming shows, including those scheduled for this weekend.

The cancellation has been made due to “circumstances beyond Place des Arts’ control relating to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.”

Ticketholders for cancelled shows will be reimbursed and guests of postponed shows are asked to hold on to tickets for future considerations. Place des Arts will contact them once the rescheduled dates have been confirmed.

Take note that public spaces inside Place des Arts, its parking lots, and access to the Metro will remain open.

Place des Arts says it will continue to update developments in the situation through its website, “which will be updated regularly.”

Recently cancelled/postponed shows at the centre includes the musical CatsFIFA Interactif, Les enfants theatre play, classical music De Londres à Paris, and the dance show Luna, among many others.
