Details released for Old Montreal's massive FREE New Year's Eve party
The year 2020 is quickly approaching and Old Montreal is offering a huge, free New Year’s Eve celebration to ring in the new year in style.
As part of this winter’s Merry Montreal festivities, the bash will take part at the Jacques-Cartier Pier in the Old Port.

The site will host an outdoor stage where you can dance and party the year away to various Quebec performers, set to the picturesque backdrop of Montreal.

Thousands of partiers will fill the Old Port in what Montreal en Fetes calls “the biggest New Year’s Eve party in Canada.”
Performers include:
- Bleu Jeans Bleu
- Les Louanges
- Heartstreets
- Bernard Adamus
The site opens at 7 pm and evening’s host, Neev, starts off the party at 10 pm followed by the New Year’s Countdown at 11:59 pm, and DJ Magic Stan will be spinning beats until 2 am.
The countdown to midnight will feature a firework show atop the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, while the pier transforms into a giant illuminated dancefloor.
The site will host bar kiosks, restaurant outlets, and a relax zone, because nobody wants to start 2020 stressed out.
