Old Montreal's adorable alpacas should be on your March Break radar (PHOTOS)
Heading to Old Montreal during March Break? Alpaca lunch.
March Break is typically reserved for sun-filled trips to toasty beaches but bragging to your friends about petting alpacas should rank up pretty highly as well.
For the third year in a row, the Pointe-à-Callière museum in Old Montreal is hosting a range of indoor and outdoor activities during the first week of March including creative workshops, history, musical performances, and the chance to meet and pet alpacas.

The alpacas are part of the museum’s “The Incas, Treasures of Peru” exhibition, which showcases the beauty, history, and stories of the Inca civilization which rose from the Peruvian highlands in the early 13th century.
“You can fall for the woolly charms of alpacas, the magnificent animals that symbolize Inca culture” reads the event’s website. “Staff from La vie en Alpaga farm will be outside the museum with at least three alpacas every day to tell you all about alpaca wool, from shearing to spinning.”
