This Old Montreal alleyway is transforming into a rustic Christmas market

Maison Pepin is channelling a little bit of Harry Potter by turning its charming alleyway into a breathtaking rustic Christmas market.

The market itself will feature a variety of locally-made products for sale and DIY workshops from gift packaging to wreath making.

Without taking away from the local artisans, the alleyway is one of the most picturesque Christmas-themed spots in the city. The narrow walls, dim lighting, light snow, and wreaths are begging to be shared all over Instagram.

In an email to Daily Hive, Lysanne Pepin, the shop’s owner, says all the proper COVID-19 health and safety precautions will be in effect for this winter’s market. She says the alleyways kiosks will be distanced.

Pepin says all of the shop’s decorations are handmade in-store and shoppers will be able to pre-order wreaths and ornaments online.

The shop, located at 378 Rue St-Paul Ouest, is open every day from 10 am to 6 pm and the gorgeous Christmas alleyway will be set up as of November 22.

We’re betting a few engagement proposals will take place in this magical alleyway this holiday season.
