This FREE month-long outdoor Christmas festival starts this weekend

As November winds down, the Christmas events begin to ramp up.

Celebrating its 26th edition, Noël dans le Parc is a month-long outdoor Christmas festival spread out among three popular parks in Montreal.

The festival offers free music shows and events, holiday-themed drinks and bites, outdoor fire pits, and Christmas trees for purchase.

Because if there’s ever a place to nab a tree, it’s in a park devoted to Christmas.

Once again this year, the festival will host francophone music by renowned local artists, all of whom will perform on a gorgeous cabin stage, built specifically for the Noël dans le Parc.

“Montrealers of all ages and backgrounds will be immersed in the magical atmosphere of a warm and mixed Christmas, thanks to their favourite artists and new talents,” states the festival’s website.

The Christmas fest will be split up in three parks throughout the island: Place Émilie-Gamelin at the Quartier des Spectacles, and parc Lahaie, and parc des Compagnons de St-Laurent in the Plateau.

A full list of performers, shows, dates, times, and locations can be found on the Noël dans le Parc website.

“Like every year, we have worked hard to provide Montrealers with quality shows with great artists,” says Alain Gingras Guimond, general and artistic director of Noël dans le Parc. “We will offer almost 80 free animations and shows on our three sites for 25 days. Over the years, our Festival has become an essential part of Montreal’s winter cultural landscape, don’t miss it.”

Festival-goers will be able to enjoy Noël dans le Parc’s hot apple juice with cinnamon, spicy mulled wine, hot chocolate, and microbrewery beer.

The festival is free to enter and has varying prices on food, drinks, and Christmas trees.
