Though the fall season is officially here, the weather in Montreal won’t admit it, at least not yet, as humidex values are expected to reach 34°C this afternoon.
According to The Weather Network, Tuesday morning will start off cloudy before a 2 pm high of 25°C which will feel like 34°C.
Humidex values in the low 30s will persist throughout the afternoon and evening when a risk of thunderstorms will appear.
The average temperature for October 9 in Montreal, according to Environment Canada, is 14°C and 25°C is just half a degree less than the hottest recorded temperature for this date, set in 1958.
Temperatures will be back to close to normal tomorrow (15°C) and is slated to rise again on Thursday to a manageable 20°C, before falling again.
Those warm temperatures will come with a limited amount of sunshine, unlike today’s sun. The rainy weather that is expected to hit tonight, and will last until Friday.
