Be a part of this rare astronomical event!

In case you hadn’t heard, we are gearing up for an extremely rare astronomical event: a partial solar eclipse. A partial solar eclipse is when the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth, and the Moon only partially covers the Sun’s disk.

Set to take place on August 21st between 1:15 pm and 3:45 pm, Montreal’s Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium invites you to join amateur astronomers and observe the partial social eclipse as it happens.

Not only will you get to interact with astronomers, but there will be free admission to the Planetarium during this time and free goggles will be handed out on site.
