Price of Montreal STM fares to increase this summer

Montreal STM fares are going to get a bit more expensive.

According to the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM), fare increases will go into effect on July 1, 2018.

The following increases will be in effect for transit users in Montreal:

• Fares for Montreal users of STM will jump from $83 to $85
• A weekly pass will increase $0.50 to $26
• 10-pack of tickets will be $28

In Longueuil:

• A monthly pass will increase from $96.50 to $98.50
• Train passes will go up anywhere between $2 to $5

In Laval:

• A monthly pass will increase from $93 to $95
• Student pass will go up from $74.50 to $76
