Montreal Jazz Fest announces free outdoor show lineup for 2019

The 40th edition of the Montreal International Jazz Festival is starting to take shape as a slew of free shows have been added to this summer’s lineup.

This year’s Jazz Fest, the world’s biggest jazz music festival, runs from June 26 to July 6 and will host over 150 shows, including a collection of free outdoor concerts.

The festival takes place at over 20 different venues, both indoor and outdoor, located around the Quartier des Spectacles and is expected to welcome more than two million spectators.

For its 40th anniversary, Jazz Fest is expanding into Verdun this summer for the first time ever.

Fittingly, the 40th edition of the musical bash is lead by free performances by a bunch of local artists and musicians.

Charlotte Cardin, the 24-year-old singer who turned heads on TVA’s La Voix in 2013, will start the party on June 27 as her hypnotic voice and electric stage presence takes over Place des Festivals at 9:30 pm.
