Environment Canada issues freezing rain warning for Montreal

After a few days of warmer temperatures it looks like the cold is back in Montreal.

Environment Canada has issued a weather warning for Montreal due to freezing rain on Friday.

The freezing rain warning is in effect for: Châteauguay – La Prairie area, Laval area, Longueuil – Varennes area, and Montréal Island area.

According to Environment Canada, snow will change to freezing rain for a few hours today over southernmost parts of Quebec, and ice accretion amounts of 2 to 5 millimetres are expected on Friday afternoon with a high of 0°C.

This will clear up on Saturday, as sunny skies are in the forecast with a high of 4°C before a mix of snow and rain return on Sunday.
