That happened quickly: it’s already Hump Day… and a gorgeous one at that! There are quite a few things happening around the city today so here’s a silver platter with offerings of some stuff to do on May 23.

Shane Murphy at Honey Martin Pub 

Shane Murphy is one of the best musicians in Montreal. He’s appeared at Jazz Fest and Osheaga and does his regular Wednesday gig every week at Honey Pub in NDG. He’s silky smooth on the guitar and has a soothing and hip voice. He plays covers and original pieces, considering it’s free entrance to watch him – it’s an absolute steal.

Comedy Lab Wednesday

If you want to get your laugh on, head to the renowned Comedy Nest inside the Pepsi Forum for Comedy Lab Wednesday. The lineup features pros and semi-pros who try out new material on one topic they’ve all been assigned before the show. Each comedian has to perform one joke about the assigned topic and the audience chooses the winner.

Montreal Science Centre

The Montreal Science Centre is showing some pretty boss exhibitions to start the summer. Embark on a 3-D adventure of America’s history of music with America’s Musical Journey 3d or lose yourself in the world of animation with Dreamwork’s Animation: The Exhibition. They also have an impressive listing of educational IMAX films as well as an interactive science museum.
