As the last Tuesday of 2020’s first month kicks off, here are a few things happening around town today, January 28, to get you to tomorrow’s mid-week point.

Happening Gourmand

Nine gourmet restaurants in the Old Port are taking part in the 13th edition of Happening Gourmand, a food festival where foodies can knock back some delicious brunch and dinner meals for under $40.

Whether you’re into pizza, steak, eggs- benedict, or burgers, Happening Gourmand offers gourmet meals and a vibrant atmosphere for every food lover. Plus, the meals won’t set you back too much (we’re dreading the post-holiday credit card statements too).

Check out a full list of participating restaurants online.

Where: Nine participating Old Port locations
Price: $17 brunch, $25-$35 dinner

Imagine Van Gogh

Montreal has been coated with an exhibition of the works of Vincent Van Gogh, the Dutch post-impressionist painter who is among the most famous figures in the history of the art world.

The exhibition, Imagine Van Gogh, which opened last month, takes guests through the world of colours and emotions of Van Gogh’s works through gigantic murals and an immersive soundtrack.

The Office Trivia Night

All those hours spent watching The Office might finally pay off tonight as the Bar Tipsy Cow is hosting an all-Office trivia night.

Honey Martin Trivia

Honey Martin is a cozy Irish Pub in NDG that hosts a phenomenal trivia night every Tuesday. There are six rounds of ten questions, and a winner is rewarded each round with either a round of drinks or a round of shots. A round for a round – solid deal.

The questions are all general knowledge, and you’ll absolutely love the trivia host. Buy him a shot and you just might get that European geography question right after all.

Scotiabank Cheapie Tuesday Movie Night

They also have deals on snack combos. Can you honestly say no to that popcorn smell?
