
The weather is expected to heat up a tad this morning, giving Montrealers a little tease of what to expect in the springtime.

Montreal Canadiens vs Anaheim Ducks
After a surprising start to the season, the Canadiens stayed hot in January thanks to the return of captain Shea Weber and a return-to-form from Carey Price.
They snuck away with an exciting overtime victory against the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday and look to stay on track against the visiting Anaheim Ducks tonight at the Bell Centre.
Look for Price to be back between the pipes and keep an eye out on rookie Jesperi Kotkaniemi who seems to be heating up.

La Poutine Week Montreal
If you thought the poutine in itself is delicious, how about an entire week-long festival devoted to the tasty dish?
Your New Years resolutions can be put on hold for a week because, during the first week of February, things will get greasy.
Actually.
La Poutine Week has returned to the city until Thursday as a variety of Montreal spots will create their own signature poutine-dish, vying to become the city-wide champion, voted by restaurant patrons.

Honey Martin Trivia
Honey Martin is a cozy Irish Pub in NDG that hosts a phenomenal pub trivia. They do six rounds of ten questions. A winner is rewarded each round with either a round of drinks or a round of shots. A round for a round – solid deal. The questions are all general knowledge and the trivia host is interactive and funny.
Buy him a shot and you just might get that European geography question right after all.

Notre Damn Comedy Show
Cafe Shaika has started hosting stand-up comedy shows again. Newly branded as “Notre Damn Comedy Show,” the NDG cafe hosts a killer lineup.
They claim that guests should “come for the carrot cake and stay for the laughs” and after trying Shaika’s carrot cake, it’d be tough to argue.
Plus the show’s acts, Viveth K, Dawn Ford, Jacob Meza and Jason Hatrick are also very funny.

Kafein’s Poetrynite
Kafein is hosting a poetry night tonight where guests are invited to get on stage and read a variety of readings from the genre.
Eight spots are reserved before the show before it turns into an open mic style, on a first-come, first-served basis.
All artists and musicians are welcome.
