The Flaming Lips Concert

Some tuneful nostalgia is coming your way tonight as the American rock band that formed in 1983 is in town as part of a world tour. The Lips’ opening band, Le Butcherettes, is a Mexican garage punk band. Needless to say, a good way to kick off your Monday.

Yoga on the Canal

Moksha Yoga Griffintown is bringing guests yoga on the canal tonight. The session is open to everyone from any (or no) yoga background. The class happens in the evening to give you a cool and calming practice while watching the sunset.

MonTango in the Park

MonTango presents an introductory lesson for newcomers hoping to learn how to tango. MonTango has been a presence in NDG for more than 10 years and today they’re offering free tango lessons outside, just in time for this summer’s wedding season.

(In case of rain, the lesson will take place at Studio MonTango: 5588A Rue Sherbrooke Ouest.)

London Pub’s Industry Night

If you want to keep the weekend party going on Monday night, head to London Pub. They offer industry nights on Mondays. It’s designed to offer inexpensive drinks to bar, pub and restaurant staff from around the city but it’s slowly morphed into drink deals for everybody. Grab a $4 single or a $3 shot of Jameson. Plus they have a free dart board and an in-house jukebox.

The Monday Mix at the Comedy Nest

Start the week off with some laughs. The cozy Comedy Nest is hosting a variety show tonight. Featuring open-mic comedians, improv, magicians, jugglers, sketch comedy, and musical acts, the show is hosted by Just For Laughs Zoofest vet Darren Henwood. Plus,  audience members get free popcorn.
