Thursday is officially here Montreal and we’re one step closer to the weekend. From International Women’s Day to art exhibits, these events will be sure to add some fun to your day.

Celebrate International Women’s Day in Montreal

The purpose of IWD is to recognize women’s achievements and acknowledge the challenges they continue to face in the quest for gender equality. It may be 2018, but the fight for rights for all women still has a long way to go.

Montreal Botanical Garden Butterflies Go Free

The Montreal Botanical Garden’s annual “Butterflies Go Free” exhibit is back for another year. Taking over the Main Exhibition Greenhouse from February 22 until April 29, visitors can step into a humid tropical oasis that will make you forget all about winter.

Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art Leonard Cohen Exhibit

Montreal’s Museum of Contemporary Art is hosting an ongoing immersive exhibition to honour the legendary Leonard Cohen. “A Crack in Everything,” is a multidisciplinary exhibit will showcase works of art from local and international artists who were inspired by Cohen.

Art Matters

Art lovers will be getting a treat as North America’s largest undergraduate arts festival will be coming to Montreal.

Art Matters will take place from March 3 to 27 at various galleries and creative spaces around the city.

Liquid Architecture

An immersive ‘liquid architecture’ exhibition will be taking place at Montreal’s Society of Technological Arts (SAT).

The exhibit is as an audiovisual experience that deconstructs 3D scans of monuments, buildings, and structures into a mesmerizing experience that will be projected on the dome of the SAT.

When: March 6 to 10, 2018  (Tuesday to Saturday)
Time: 7 pm, each show runs for 40 minutes
