Mar 19 2021, 4:31 pm

The weather has been looking up in Montreal lately, and what better way to manifest a warm spring season than by putting on your sneakers and getting a refreshing drink from a local spot?

Lord knows we really need to go out, get some fresh air and exercise, and maybe reward ourselves with a healthy smoothie (or a sugar-filled bubble tea).

Here are 10 places to check out on your next fancy drink run. Don’t forget your reusable cups!

Kamé Snack Bar

From the same restaurant that brought us amazing poké bowls and Montreal’s infamous fish cone ice cream comes amazing smoothies. You can get a Kamé Snack Bar smoothie from their take-out counter at their Village location.

Le MajesThé

Nope, that’s not a filter! Le MajesThé is known for their crazy-looking drinks, but most notably their Galaxy Lemonade. This drink, which is made with butterfly pea, changes colour when it touches acidic liquids, which is how it gets its fairy-like aesthetic.

Rejuice!

Looking for a health kick to start up your week? Rejuice! serves nutrient-dense plant-based juices that are so delicious, they don’t even feel healthy.

Labothéry

Labothéry really puts the fun in making your own drink. Everything is customizable, from the temperature of your drink to the flavours you want to add in and the amount of sugar or milk you want. But the best part is the process: the flavour syrups come in syringes, and the milk teas come in little test tubes — just like in a science lab. Don’t worry if you can’t make the stop to the South Shore to get your drink — they’re also on UberEats!

Just Pressed Juice Bar

Another healthy drink place, Just Pressed is the go-to spot in Montreal if you’re looking for a nutritious beverage.

Café Le Loup Bleu

This cute Plateau Mont-Royal spot has everything you could ever want in a coffee shop: quality coffee, funky smoothie recipes, and delicious food options. If you stop by for a drink, try one of their scones — they’re seriously amazing.

Venice MTL

Venice is our favourite California-inspired spot. They have great cold-pressed juices you can grab to go and enjoy while imagining you’re on a beach somewhere in Malibu.

Fabergé

Not only is Fabergé a brunch champion in Montreal, it also serves awesome beverages. Their drinks menu serves a mean mango lassi and fun milkshake options.

C’Chocolat

Apart from their drool-worthy desserts, C’Chocolat has some equally crazy milkshakes, choctails (chocolate cocktails), and smoothies that you won’t be able to get enough of.

This Taiwanese-owned spot might be one of the best bubble tea places in Montreal, serving funky drink options like their Oreo-flavoured or kiwi slushes.
