Maclean’s Magazine issued its 30th edition of Canada’s top university rankings and McGill has nabbed the country’s top medical-doctoral spot for the 16th year in a row.
The Medical Doctoral category includes 15 universities from throughout Canada, featuring a wide range of Ph.D. and research programs. Maclean’s also highlighted McGill’s COVID-19 research efforts.
The university also got praise from Maclean’s for its diversity, highlighting that international students make up close to 30% of the school’s students.

For the 11th year in a row, McGill ranked first in scholarships and bursaries; library acquisitions for the 6th consecutive year; student awards, social sciences and humanities grants for the 9th straight year.
The University of Toronto, UBC, McMaster University, and Queen’s University rounded out Maclean’s top five.
