McDonald's launches new Spicy Habanero McChicken across Canada

Jan 28 2020, 11:00 am

It’s not very often you hear about McDonald’s introducing permanent menu items, but today the brand announced it’s launching something that’s sure to spice up its Canadian stores.

The fast-food giant is rolling out the new Spicy Habanero McChicken across the country today.

About a year ago McDonald’s tested out a trio of spicy versions of the classic McChicken burger — a long-time staple on the menu — and it looks like that limited-time offer was well received.

The new Spicy Habanero variety is a combo of breaded seasoned chicken and shredded lettuce on a toasted sesame bun with “creamy, McDonald’s-made, Spicy Habanero sauce.”

McDonald’s Spicy Habanero sauce is made with chili pepper sourced from the Northern part of South America (Ecuador, Peru, Colombia).

You can get this new offering starting January 28.
