Montreal hosts an impressive amount of events in the summer, especially when it comes to music. But one thing the city has been lacking is a little bit of country.

Until now.

The city’s newest music festival, Lasso Montreal, has reeled inĀ Brad Paisley and Luke Bryan to headline the inaugural fest.

“Country music fans will revel in performances by their favourite artists playing on stages equipped with leading-edge sound and lights, while taking in exceptional views of the city in the background,” reads the Lasso Montreal website.

Set for August 14 and 15 at Parc Jean Drapeau, the headliners to “one ofĀ the worldā€™s greatest festival citiesā€ also includes country rockersĀ Old Dominion, Morgan Wallen, Brett Kissel, Runaway June, James Barker Band, and more.

The festival’s third stage lineup will be revealed soon, according to the website.
