50+ Montreal pizzerias participating in La Pizza Week this October
Le Burger Week… La Poutine Week… and now, La Pizza Week.
The city of Montreal celebrates all things ’za the last week of October. The inaugural culinary competition advertises that “more than 50 of Montreal’s top pizzerias will compete for the title of best pizza in town,” though at the time of publishing there are only 18 restaurants on the roster so far (look for an updated list of participating restaurants posted online in October).
Per the La Pizza Week website, honours and bragging rights will be awarded by the Official Judges’ Panel and a People’s Choice Award in 10 categories spanning pizza styles such as: thin crust, pan pizza, calzone, dessert, by-the-slice, Margherita, All Dressed (five toppings), gluten-free, vegan, and most original.
The pizza-loving public can get a slice of the action by eating and voting for their favourite pizzas and restaurants online.
