Animal rights activists protested inside Joe Beef during dinner service on Saturday night, criticizing the popular restaurant for serving meat.

The group, who call themselves Direct Action Anywhere, took over the dining room of the popular restaurant while chanting “we denounce cruel and unjust violence against animal victims.”

Joe Beef staff can be seen ushering the group outside, amidst chants of “this isn’t food, it’s violence.”

In the video, which has already received over 2,300 views on Facebook, one protester can be heard shouting “there is no moral or ethical justification to patronize the killing and exploitation of two trillion animals this year alone.”

After being escorted, the group continued to protest outside of the restaurant.
