IKEA is back with another new offering for us, and no, you can’t sit, lie, or lounge on it.

Plant-based meatballs (Plant Balls) are officially rolling out in IKEA stores and bistros across Canada, which means the brand’s famous signature dish has gone vegan.

This sustainable alternative to the traditional meatball isĀ made with pea protein, oats, potatoes, onion, and apples.

Folks can now find the new product at IKEA restaurants across the country; they will be served with mashed potatoes, broccoli, lingonberries, and cream sauce.

There will also be bags of frozen Plant Balls at theĀ Swedish Food Markets located near the cash at stores so you can take them home and make them yourself if you’d like.

Plant-based meatballs are just the latest veggie offering from the company. IKEA launched its Strawberry Vegan Frozen Treat and its $0.75 Veggie Hot Dog in recent years as well.
