Looks like Greta Thunberg isn't buying Justin Trudeau's climate action promises
Greta Thunberg just took to social media to send a pointed message to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about his response to climate change.
The 17-year-old activist quote-tweeted an article from The Guardian, written by Bill McKibben, which takes aim at how Trudeau’s promises may not align with reality when it comes to climate action, particularly with regards to ongoing fossil fuel projects.
“If an alcoholic assured you he was taking his condition very seriously, but also laying in a 40-year store of bourbon, you’d be entitled to doubt his sincerity,” she wrote in her post, quoting a particularly strong jab by McKibben in the article.

The young Swede met with Trudeau in September, in advance of the massive, organize climate strike in Montreal.
At the time, according to Greenpeace Canada, Thunberg told Trudeau the same message that she shares with all politicians: listen to and act on the science.
