Everything you need to know about #Flashlab, Montreal’s Instagram foodie course

Attention all Montreal foodies! This summer Montreal is hosting its very own course to teach you how to take pictures of fancy food. Titled #Flashlab, the course will span five months with a scheduled session once per month. If you were looking for a chance to up your Instagram #foodie game, this is it.

Each session is hosted by one of Montreal’s best food Instagrammers and features an array of delicious food made by chef, Michelle Marek. And the best part? The courses are totally free and you get to taste the food as you snap pictures of it.

The #Flashlab launch party was on May 2nd and the first session, held on June 6th and lead by @thefoodiemtl, was a huge success. Still to come is the July 4th class with Kerrie Ahern and Eva Wang, the August 1st class run by Josiane Marquis who will be focusing on vegetarian and gluten-free food, and the final class of the summer on September 5th (famous foodie Instagrammer TBA).

After all, what would be the point of a meal if you can’t snap a picture to make your friends jealous for not coming with you?
