“Although the risk of severe weather associated with this air mass is very low, it is still possible that funnel clouds may be observed locally,” says the weather agency.
Temperatures are expected to dip below 20ºC on Wednesday evening (18ºC) before slipping to a “feels like” of 10ºC overnight.
A chance of showers and rain will persist into Thursday afternoon and evening as temperatures sneak back up to the low 20s.
The statement, issued at 11:30 am, is in effect for the following areas:
- Châteauguay – La Prairie area
- Laval area
- Longueuil – Varennes area
- Montréal Island area
Environment Canada urges citizens to continually monitor weather updates once an alert has been issued.
