Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Montreal and its surrounding areas.
“An intense low pressure system will affect the whole province Friday and Saturday,” states the alert. The weather agency is forecasted freezing rain and “strong wings” as we enter the weekend.
The weather statement said the combination of rain and mild temperatures may accelerate the melting of the snow cover.
