Caffeine lovers, brace yourselves. Because a massive coffee festival is gearing up to take over the Montreal Science Centre this month.

The fifth annual East Coast Coffee Madness (ECCM) will be taking place bright, lofty and industrial space located in the old port of Montreal on October 19 and 20.

Each ticket will include access to unlimited coffee from roasters across the country, educational sessions, live demos, classes, and national-level competitions.

Presented by Th3rd Wave and Sanremo, a manufacturer of high quality coffee machines, the festival will also feature the Latte Art Olympics. The competition will see 32 of Montreal’s most talented baristas froth up and throw down for the winning title.

Single passes are going for $20, two-day passes are available for $30, and VIP passes are on for $50. While any option will give you a key to all the coffee you can handle, VIP passes include perks such as access to exclusive parties, speaker series, keynote speakers, swag bags, a coffee passport, and front row seats to competitions.

Speaking of competitions, ECCM will also host the National Brewer’s Cup and National Cup Tasters, competitions revolving around both taste and coffee extraction within the guidelines of the Specialty Coffee Association.

Throughout the weekend, the public is invited to attend classes to learn from the city’s best baristas.
