Dîner en Blanc Montreal has announced the date to the most glamorous supper on the planet this past week.
The Montreal branch of the worldwide event is celebrating its 10th year of dinners in which all guest dress elegantly and exclusively in white from head-to-toe.
This year’s dinner in Montreal was revealed to take place on August 16.

The event does come with its fair share of rules, part of what makes the dinner so endearing.
You have to wear all white to the dinner – no beige, no off-white, no ivory. And you must bring a table, chairs, and a tablecloth (all white of course). Once a participant is registered, their attendance becomes mandatory and the dinner occurs regardless of weather conditions.

- Phase 1 is for members from the previous year
- Phase 2 is for new members who are referred by Phase I attendees
- Phase 3 is for people who signed up on the waiting list
Once the event starts, more than 5,500 participants show up to any of the 30 meeting points scattered throughout the city (meeting points will be revealed as the event nears). Guests then converge on the secret spot, keeping the location a mystery until after the event.
A new addition in honour of Montreal’s 10th anniversary features some surprises for selected guests. In the months leading up to the event, a selected 500 invitees will be treated to a behind the scenes look at the dinner’s head chefs and menu items as well as who will be catering the event and different drinks offered.
