Deadmau5 is coming to Montreal in 5eptember.

It’s been a while since a major artist came to perform in Montreal, but thanks to the Royalmount Drive-In Event Theatre, we’ll be able to soak up some tunes from the comfort of our own cars.

Joel Thomas Zimmerman, known professionally as Deadmau5, is a Canadian musician, and he’ll be headlining a show at the outdoor venue on September 18.

The Royalmount Drive-In, located off of DĆ©carie and Highway 40, opened on June 21 and has been hosting a variety of outdoor concerts and classic movies throughout the summer, all while respecting physical distancing guidelines and public health precautions.

The venue is a “fullyĀ convertible drive-in venue capable of hosting movie nights, live bands, comedy shows, specialty screenings, graduations,” and more.

The venue serves concessions, eliminating the need for guests to leave their vehicles, and individual bathrooms are disinfected after each use, says the venue.

The site includes a 30-foot-wide stage, complete with sound and lights and a giant LED screen and can host up to 250 cars.

Ticket prices haven’t been announced for Deadmau5’s show yet but they go on sale on Friday, August 28 at 12 pm through evenko.
