Support Canada's bartenders by donating to the country's "Biggest Tip Jar"

The Canadian Professional Bartenders Association (CPBA) and Fireball Whiskey have joined forces and created an initiative that aims to support mixologists across the country.

All funds raised through this “virtual tip jar,” aka aĀ Go Fund Me, will be disbursed through the CPBAā€™s Relief Measures Support Fund.

The digital tip jar began with a hefty $45,000 tip fromĀ Fireball Whiskey, and allĀ additional donations will be matched up to $75,000.

So how exactly do you get involved?

Organizers are asking people to get in on the fun and have virtual cocktails at home and donate what they can.

ā€œThe money raised will help support our professional bartenders at a time when they are experiencing hardship,” said Trevor Kallies, President of the CPBA.

“Knowing that our members are out of work, we wanted to put some money in their hands. Every donation will help our community and their families put food on the table and pay their bills. Bartenders play a role in the lives of every neighbourhood, town and city across Canada and this is a great way to thank them.ā€

Canadians can show love for this campaign and show off their own virtual cocktail pictures on social channels with the hashtag #canadasbiggesttipjar.
