A local meat shop in Montreal has issued a sausage recall for any of their products dated from May 9, due to a possible bacteria threat.
Slovenia Meat Products is a popular shop on Rue Clark in Montreal’s Little Italy district who offer catered meat services, have recently been questioned about a spoiled batch of in-house sausages.
The company told Daily Hive over the phone that only one of their popular sausage selections may have been contaminated.
The “hot chabay” sausages from May 9 were possibly contaminated with bacteria.
The sausages were completely sold within days and should be fine, says the producer, as long as cooked or barbequed properly. Slovenia Meat Products will completely comply with a recall if issued or offer a refund to weary customers.
The CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) has not registered an official recall on any of Slovenia Meat Product’s sausages.
