You are never too old to enjoy a treehouse. They may even get better with age.

Anticipated to open in March of 2020, Gatlinburg, Tennessee, is going to be home to a spectacular new treehouse resort called Treehouse Grove at Norton Creek Resort.

With help from the host of Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters, Pete Nelson, the resort will feature eight unique tree houses that will be available for rent.

Initially, they were going to be available for purchase. However, once it was discovered how high in demand the treehouses were, management decided to rent them instead.

“I reached out to Pete, and we did a number of site visits,” Norton Creek owner and developer Jason Ayres told WVLT 8. “He actually designed all the treehouses, followed our concept and came up with each individual treehouse. He was involved in concept planning, picking out the trees he wanted to use, and he’s building them as well.”

The site’s Instagram account displays beautiful shots of the treehouses, which are still under construction.

The primary objective of the properties is to motivate guests to disconnect, put down their various devices, and engage and reconnect with friends and family.

The treehouses of the resort — located in the Great Smoky Mountains — supply breathtaking views of the natural scenery of the region, providing the perfect setting to hit the refresh button on your mind.
