It’s always a good idea, as a conscious traveller, to put in some research before departing to your next far and away destination.

Whether it’s what to do, where to eat, or where to go, having a basic blueprint for your journey can provide necessary structure and organization.

But don’t forget to leave room for serendipitous adventures, of course!

One of the things most widely searched for is popular must-see landmarks.

Because, in a world that runs on social media, have you even been to a country if you didn’t post a pic of its most famous landmark?

In that realm, travel insurance provider Columbus Direct has explored Google’s Keyword Planner, an advertising tool used to find top-performing keywords, to uncover which landmarks people across the globe are searching for the most.

Without any further ado, the most Googled landmarks around the world are as follows.
