This cruise line is hiring someone to go on holiday and post it on Instagram

If you fit the criteria, you might want to dust off the ol’ resume for this one.

There are few jobs that sound quite as dreamy as travelling the world, and once you throw a hefty paycheque on top of it, job hunters don’t need a ton of convincing.

International cruise liner Royal Caribbean UK is now looking for applicants for their Shore Explorer Apprentice-Ship, or as the job description states, an “extraordinarily talented content creator with a thirst for travel.”

Slated for Summer 2019, the three-week apprenticeship will provide one lucky individual with an opportunity to work under the Royal Caribbean UK & Ireland’s Instagrammer-in-Chief @russ_francis to create content that will inspire their Shore Excursion program.

“We’re looking for an adrenaline junkie who is not only hungry for adventure, but also has a unique ability to capture a moment and tell a story in a simple social media post,” a spokesperson for Royal Caribbean said.

“We already offer a huge amount of incredible, once-in-a-lifetime, on-land experiences as part of our cruise holidays — from zip-wires and white water rafting, to walking on glaciers and hot air balloon rides.

“By launching this position, we’re hoping that the winning candidate will take our shore excursion programme to the next level.”

The role will include capturing experiences that customers would want to do while on holiday with Royal Caribbean, and sharing on social media to help shape the shore excursion program from here on out.

So how do you apply?

First of all, the competition is restricted to UK and Ireland residents, so this one goes out to our international audience. But your nationality will likely be your biggest hurdle, because if you can pass that one, all you have to do is share your best travel experience as a post, story, or IGTV and tag @RoyalCaribbeanUK and #ShoreExplorer.

The selected candidate will receive a number of different shore excursions, free roam, hotel stays and flights, and because that wasn’t quite enough, a cheque for £6,000, or roughly CAD $10,200 (based off a salary of £104,000 or $176,950 CAD).
