Dining with giraffes in Africa, by most globetrotters’ standards, is pretty epic.

Located in the Langata suburb of Nairobi in Kenya, Giraffe Manor is the perfect spot to kick off your safari experience by getting up close and personal with the wildlife.

A herd of Rothschild giraffes frequent the manor and may even poke their head in while you’re at the breakfast table. As with all wild animals, an encounter cannot be guaranteed, but if you’re lucky the giraffes will stop by so make sure to have your camera ready! The stunning rooms bring luxury living in the middle of the east African landscape to a whole other level.

The Giraffe Manor shares the grounds with the Giraffe Centre, which is dedicated to breeding and educating on the endangered Rothschild giraffe. This is one of the best places in the world to observe, learn about, and feed the world’s tallest species. If you’re feeling frisky, you can even sneak a kiss — the Educators will be more than happy to demonstrate for you. Say hi to the giraffe named Kelly for us while you’re there!
