Le Commandant-Charcot will allow passengers to follow “in the footsteps of the great polar explorers in refined surroundings complete with the kind of luxury services never before offered in the farthest reaches of the southern and northern hemispheres.”

The 492-ft vessel has 135 staterooms and suites (all with balconies), two restaurants, an indoor swimming pool and a conservatory.

The common areas are specially designed to convey the understated luxury of French style. The design scheme allows as much light in as possible by providing open-concept settings to portray the extraordinary polar landscapes and scenery.
