40,000 people and 482 vendors flocked to Sunset Beach Park for 420 Vancouver’s 24th annual protest and farmer’s market.
The event included live music, political discourse, and lots and lots of weed. The Vancouver Park Board denounced the protest, claiming it was not proper use of the public space. Despite a $30,000 investment on behalf of the organizers to protect the fields, VPB has claimed up to a 10-week closure for park rehabilitation.
At 4:19, attendees were encouraged to light up and ring in 4:20 with a collective cloud of smoke.
