Canna-curious and cannabis-inclined women are invited to a discussion on sex and weed in Vancouver this Wednesday.
The talk is the second installment of the Ellementa series, a monthly networking and resource event for women interested in cannabis for health and wellness.
Siobhan McCarthy, an industry veteran, will be leading the conversation about incorporating cannabis into a wellness program.
“There are many ways that cannabis can be utilized to help facilitate wellness for women and sexual health and it doesn’t necessarily have to be linked to a partner,” McCarthy told Daily Hive over the phone.
Approaching the topic in a “talking circle format,” McCarthy hopes to create a safe and open space for women to have a candid conversation and share their experiences.
“I look forward to discussing how I use cannabis in my own journey and how I have in the past,” said McCarthy, noting challenges she had post-pregnancy as well as general sexual function.
“A lot of people have been closeted in their cannabis experience.”
She feels that legalization will allow people to talk more freely and build a stronger sense of community.
