Police searching for suspects after cannabis store robbed in west Edmonton

Edmonton police are searching for suspects following an evening robbery at a cannabis store in west Edmonton yesterday.

According to Edmonton Police Service, at approximately 9 pm on December 12, 2019, West Division officers responded to the report of a robbery at a business in the area of 101 Avenue and 175 Street.

It was reported to police that two suspects entered the business with a weapon, and stole merchandise before fleeing.

Suspects then stole a vehicle from outside the business to aid in their escape, said police.

There were no injuries reported by the business staff or the driver of the vehicle that was stolen.

Police say officers found the stolen vehicle nearby a short time later, but the suspects were not located.

According to police, EPS Robbery Section has since taken over the investigation.

Police say no other information is available at this time.
