You can fly from Edmonton to San Diego with Swoop airlines starting next year

Escaping the Edmonton winters just got easier with Swoop airlines adding a few new destinations to their Edmonton network, including service to sunny San Diego.

Swoop, West Jet’s ultra-low-cost-carrier, released its updated summer schedule Friday, which includes increased service and three new destinations.

Starting in April of next year, Swoop’s newest routes will take travellers to two new domestic destinations including Victoria, Kamloops, and one US destination, San Diego.

“In only 18 months, Swoop has experienced significant growth, and we are excited to continue this momentum with the release of our 2020 summer schedule,” said Steven Greenway, president of Swoop in a release.

“By introducing Swoop to more markets, we are achieving our mission of providing Canadians with accessible summer travel opportunities throughout North America.”

It’s never too early to plan a sunny getaway, so get out your t-shirts and sunglasses and get ready to hit up sunny San Diego next year.
