Where to see Christmas lights in and around Edmonton

The COVID-19 pandemic has made 2020 a dark year, and that’s why Christmas lights are bringing us a little extra joy this season.

If you’re looking for some awe-inspiring light displays to get you in the holiday spirit, check out these Edmonton spots. These are either contactless or outdoors, so you can feel safe going.

Winter Wonder Forest

This contact-free lights display promises guests an enchanted experience as they drive through the decorated campground.

This drive-through Christmas lights display at Castrol Raceway is a safe way to see some twinkling displays while staying distant from others.

Check out these animal-themed light displays in the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Several COVID-19 safety precautions are in place for this outdoor event, including mandatory face masks throughout the exhibit.

If you prefer to see lights the old-fashioned way by driving around the city to find people who have decorated their homes with gusto, you’re in luck. Some industrious Edmonton residents in the Facebook group Edmonton Area Christmas Lights have created a custom map plotting neighbour’s homes with impressive lights displays.
