What: North America’s longest-running Fringe Theatre Festival, Edmonton’s 44th annual International Fringe Theatre Festival is set to spotlight 223 theatre productions across 40 venues, with performances by more than 1,600 artists from right here at home, across Canada, and more than nine countries for 11 days in August.

What: Get ready to roll! Rogers Place is turning into a full-blown Roller Disco for one day only. Skate beneath the scoreboard disco ball, move to throwback beats, and soak up the electric atmosphere of Edmonton’s most iconic arena, this time on wheels instead of blades. The Roller Disco runs a family-friendly skate from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by an adults-only disco from 6 to 8 p.m. with drinks, DJs and disco vibes.

Bring your own skates or grab a rental pair for $15.
