A stunning VR exhibit lands in Edmonton soon and takes you to ancient Egypt

A wild new virtual reality (VR) exhibit opens in Edmonton next month, and it’s taking you right to ancient Egypt to explore the largest pyramids.
After touring in Paris, London, Montreal, Shanghai, and New York, Horizon of Khufu lands at West Edmonton Mall in YEG on May 29.
Horizon of Khufu is a VR experience that takes you on a journey to explore ancient Egypt and the pyramid of Khufu, the largest of the Egyptian pyramids.
It’s a neat concept set up in a space of around 10,000 square feet, allowing visitors to be transported to Cairo, where they will be able to freely wander through ancient Egypt.

More than one million people have visited the exhibit worldwide, and Edmonton is just the second Canadian city to experience it after Montreal and Calgary.
“This unique 45-minute experience is the result of three years of research and
development by Excurio. Geared with VR headset, the audience is transported over 10,000 km from Calgary, at the base of the tallest pyramid in Egypt, for a journey back to the third millennium BC,” the event touted.
If you are interested in stepping back in time and exploring some of ancient Egypt, you can find tickets here.
