There's a new modern Nigerian cafe in downtown Edmonton
Simply Chops has opened its first-ever Edmonton location, and now the city has a new go-to spot for some modern Nigerian cuisine.
For those who aren’t familiar, Simply Chops is a vibrant fast-casual eatery that serves up classic Nigerian food with a modern twist. From meat pies to sausage rolls and puff puff to suya, these African dishes will bring peak flavour and quality to the table.
After having multiple locations in Ontario, the Nigerian cafe has finally expanded and opened shop in Alberta. Even better? You’ll be able to find it right in the core of Edmonton.

Its new Edmonton location opened downtown this past Aug. 28. The grand opening lasted all day, with a huge celebration for the first Naija cafe in the city.
The exact opening days throughout the week and hours have not been released yet, but you’ll be able to keep an eye on the cafe’s social media for more updates and information.
So if you’re having a craving for some African cuisine, this is definitely a spot to check out. With plantains and pies galore, you’ll be walking out of the cafe stuffed and satisfied.
