Jack Roslovic is only 16 games into his Edmonton Oilers tenure, but he has already made franchise history.
It took a while for the 28-year-old to find his game with Edmonton, but it appears that he has over the last week or so. Roslovic has three goals and seven points in his last seven games, including back-to-back OT winners against the Columbus Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers.
Those two game-winning goals etched him into Oilers history as just the second player in franchise history to notch OT winners in two straight games.

Roslovic has quickly become one of the team’s most impactful new additions this season. He joined the team late, signing midway through the team’s home opener, and was not widely expected to come to Edmonton before things came together.
He has since carved out a role in the top-six, specifically finding some chemistry on the second line alongside Leon Draisaitl and Vasily Podkolzin. Roslovic told the media after the win in Philadelphia that he is feeling good about where his game is.
“Trying to stick to my game, trying to play fast, play hard, play with a lot of energy, and trying to let my skill take over,” Roslovic said. “I have confidence in myself as a player, and I just wanted to come in here to help the team win.”
You may think that Roslovic is joining some elite company with the likes of somebody like Wayne Gretzky, Connor McDavid, or Leon Draisaitl, but you would be wrong. The Ohio native is actually in an exclusive club with former Oilers speedster Andrew Cogliano, who scored three-straight OT winners during the 2007-08 NHL season.
That also happened to be an NHL record, and he did it during a time when OT was played at four-on-four, not three-on-three.
Roslovic will have a chance to tie that record on Thursday night with the Oilers facing the Columbus Blue Jackets. Though you have to believe that Edmonton would prefer to get the win in regulation, something they haven’t done since Oct. 28 against the Utah Mammoths.
