Rain and stormy skies are on the way for Edmonton this week

Rain, high winds, and a chance of thunderstorms are on the horizon for Edmonton tonight, with wind and rain expected to continue throughout the week.

According to Environment Canada, winds will begin gusting between 20 and 40 km/h into the afternoon, with a 60% chance of showers or thunderstorms into the evening.

Rain is expected to start around 3 pm and continue into the evening, with showers and high winds from 20 to 40 km/h continuing into Wednesday morning.

Light to moderate rain is expected to continue throughout the week.
