Three new infrared hot yoga studios are opening in Edmonton this fall
Three new fitness studios are coming to Edmonton, with Oxygen Yoga & Fitness set to open a Garneau location in early September and two more in southeast and west Edmonton in October.
Oxygen Yoga & Fitness is a franchise fitness studio offering hot yoga, fitness, and Pilates classes using FAR infrared heating. The company claims on its website that the technology offers health benefits including detoxification, pain relief, improved circulation, stress reduction, and enhanced immunity.

According to the company, the invisible, radiant lightwaves warm the body from the inside out and penetrate deeper into muscles and joints. This differs from a traditional hot yoga studio, which typically uses forced air to heat the room.

In addition to yoga and Pilates, classes include strength and sculpt training, barre, deep stretching and relaxation, all under infrared light. The studio offers more than 26 class styles, including traditional hot yoga, yoga and fitness blends, fitness fusion and Pilates.
“Escape the daily chaos and flow to hot beats in a darkened, glowing room,” the company said on its website. “The music, the movement, and the heat will take you to a whole new level.”
The studio already has four locations across Edmonton and three in surrounding communities, including St. Albert, Spruce Grove and Beaumont. With three more locations on the way, there’s no doubt this has become a popular spot to get your sweat on!
Oxygen’s Garneau location will open on Sunday, Sept. 6, while the other two locations currently have a target opening date of October 2026.
