The Edmonton Oilers will have a new jersey in the rotation for the upcoming season.
Apart from the team’s iconic home/away set of uniforms, the team announced that it will also add a new retro-inspired alternate jersey. The new uniform was revealed at the team’s annual fan day festivities.
The new look will feature a white jersey with a brand-new script logo, along with some interesting new orange and blue striping on the arms and shoulders. The Oilers also revealed a new shoulder patch logo that will be included on the jersey.
It’s a uniform that Oilers fans will get to see seven times this season, with its debut coming on Oct. 28 against the Utah Mammoth. That also happens to be the team’s Canadian Armed Forces night.
Edmonton revealed the entire seven-game slate for the jersey, which includes two away games as well.

The Oilers are frontloading the first season of the uniform, with all seven appearances scheduled to take place between October and January. There will be three dates in December, one of which is a Battle of Alberta against the Calgary Flames right before Christmas.
A white uniform is usually reserved for away games in the NHL, and the Oilers will be honouring that tradition with this alternate jersey. They will take the new look on the road in mid-January for a two-game road trip against the Chicago Blackhawks and Nashville Predators.
The last appearance will be at home against the Minnesota Wild on Jan. 31.
Those wanting to buy the jersey can now make preorders in person or online at Ice District Authentics.
