More than one-third of NHL teams are releasing new jerseys this season, and the Edmonton Oilers are joining the party.

While this new jersey was recently leaked, we now have an official announcement from the team.

The Oilers unveiled their new jersey during a Fan Day event in Edmonton.

The jerseys will feature a tan-coloured base, and a blue collar at the top of the uniform.

In their press release, the Oilers say the blue collar was designed purposefully to represent “how Oil country was built.”

There will also be a patch on the shoulder jersey, which the Oilers say they placed there to salute “the work ethic of Oil Country’s industries.”

This is the fourth alternate jersey that the Oilers have released in the past four years. They released reverse retro jerseys in both 2021 and 2022. They also showcased a Heritage Classic jersey in 2023 when the beat the Calgary Flames 5-2 at Commonwealth Stadium.

Edmonton will wear their new uniforms seven times in the 2025-26 season. The debut will occur at Rogers Place against the Utah Mammoth on Oct. 28. They’ll wear them four more times at home in the middle of the season (Dec. 4 vs. the Seattle Kraken, Dec. 6 vs. the Winnipeg Jets, Dec. 23 vs. the Calgary Flames and Jan. 32 vs. the Minnesota Wild.)

Edmonton will also wear them twice on the road during back-to-back games against the Chicago Blackhawks on Jan. 12, and against the Nashville Predators on Jan. 13.
