Edmonton Oilers fans will have no shortage of theme nights during the 2025-26 NHL season.

The hockey club revealed its complete slate of 16 theme games set to take over Rogers Place for the upcoming season. A lot of them are returning themes from last year, but there are also a few new ones for fans to enjoy as well.

Fans will not have to wait long to experience the themes, as the first one will take place with a home opener celebration against the Calgary Flames on Oct. 8. The last one will be a fan appreciation night on April 13 vs. the Colorado Avalanche.

Here is a look at the complete list:

  • Oct. 8 vs. Calgary Flames: Home Opener
  • Oct. 28 vs. Utah Mammoth: Canadian Armed Forces Night
  • Oct. 30 vs. New York Rangers: Halloween Game
  • Nov. 1 vs. Chicago Blackhawks: Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)
  • Nov. 10 vs. Columbus Blue Jackets: Remembrance Day
  • Nov. 25 vs. Dallas Stars: Hockey Fights Cancer
  • Dec. 31 vs. Boston Bruins: New Year’s Eve
  • Jan. 3 vs. Philadelphia Flyers: Oilers Next Gen
  • Jan. 20 vs. New Jersey Devils: Indigenous Celebration
  • Jan. 29 vs. San Jose Sharks: South Asian Celebration
  • Feb. 3 vs. Toronto Maple Leafs: Olympic Send-Off
  • March 17 vs. San Jose Sharks: St. Patrick’s Day Game
  • March 19 vs. Florida Panthers: Celebrating Pride
  • March 28 vs. Anaheim Ducks: Celebrating Oil Country
  • March 31 vs. Seattle Kraken: Women in Sport
  • April 13 vs. Colorado Avalanche: Fan Appreciation

Fans should recognize a bunch of those themes, but there have been a few changes compared to last year’s list. There is no longer a Ukrainian Heritage, Lunar New Year, Celebrating Black Excellence, Welcoming New Canadians, Hockey Talks, or Oilers Hall of Fame listed for the upcoming season.

The Oilers did make sure to note that the Black Excellence, Lunar New Year, and Ukrainian Heritage games will return for the 2026-27 NHL season.

The new additions this year include a Halloween Game, St. Patrick’s Day Game, Olympic Send-Off, and Remembrance Day Game.

The overall total has been cut down to 16 as compared to the 18 theme nights hosted by the Oilers last season.

Fans can book their seats to any of these games once Oilers single-game tickets go on sale this Thursday at 10 a.m. MDT.
